Cow Snails

We haven't identified the species yet. They just look like dairy cows. They are cream colored. Their tentacles are usually dark and look like cow horns. The mouth area is often black. Their body has irregular dark patches. I haven't heard them 'moo' yet; but it wouldn't surprise me.

They are smaller than mystery snail and they don't grow as fast. They love small amounts of fruit, vegetable, bio film, and even isopod leaves. They rarely bother live plants. 

Be careful about feeding them fish food with coloring. I tried feeding them a green died spirulina stick and accidentally ended up with slightly greenish snails just before St Patrick's day. It didn't seem to hurt them, but I'm avoiding putting food in their tanks that have strong colors now. 

They benefit from hard water. Calcium is essential for their thick shells. Cow snail suitable for cool water and tropical tanks.

Shipping of live products will take place only on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings to ensure the animal or plant arrives before the weekend. We consider these products time sensitive. If there is concern about the shipment arriving before the weekend because of extreme weather or other such concerns, we will contact you and may delay a shipment to the next Monday.
